Terms & Conditions
Genie · last updated 25 October 2026
Welcome to Genie: My Wishlist Board. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Airbok Company Limited ("Airbok," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the Genie mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Genie, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Genie
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Genie account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the people you choose to share your boards with.
Geographic availability
Genie is available in all countries and regions except Mainland China. Hong Kong SAR, Macao, and Taiwan are included. By creating an account, you confirm that you are not accessing the Service from Mainland China.
We do not offer, market, or knowingly make the Service available to anyone located in Mainland China. If you access the Service from Mainland China, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk, you are solely responsible for compliance with local law, and we make no representation that the Service is appropriate, legal, or available for use there. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access from Mainland China at any time without notice.
2. Your account
- You may sign up with an email address and password (confirmed with a one-time code sent to that address), with Apple, or with Google. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
- You can turn on Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, or face unlock to open the app on your phone. This check happens on your device; it is an extra lock, not a replacement for your account.
- Before you share a board, we ask for your first and last name, because the people you share with see it ("{First} {Last} shared their wishlist with you").
- You may delete your account at any time from Account settings → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes your boards, items, and photos, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Boards, items and sharing
Genie lets you keep a wishlist on boards: for each item you can add a photo or screenshot, a link to a shop, a name, and a price ("Your Content"). You can mark items as "I own it" or "Lost interest", and move them back to a board later. Those two lists are visible only to you.
You can share a board with someone by entering their email address. They can view the board's items, photos, prices, and links in the Genie app after signing in with that email address; they cannot change your board. Only share a board with people you want to see it, and only enter an email address you're allowed to use to contact that person.
Prices, links, and product details are entered by you and are not checked by Airbok. Genie is not a shop: we don't sell, ship, or guarantee any product, and any purchase you make happens on the shop's own website under its own terms.
4. Content you provide
You retain ownership of Your Content. By adding it, you grant Airbok a limited license to store, display, and transmit it back to you and to the people you choose to share a board with, solely to operate the Service.
You're responsible for Your Content. Don't add anything that:
- is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- infringes someone else's rights (copyright, privacy, etc.);
- contains malware or links designed to harm or deceive people;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone.
5. Plans, subscriptions & payments
Genie is free to use with limits: 3 boards, 20 items per board, and one shared board with up to 3 people. Paid plans remove these limits: Genie Pro and Genie Family (for up to 4 people). Current prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change with notice. People you share a board with always view it for free.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Genie account does not cancel store billing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies - Airbok cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through those stores.
- If a paid plan ends, nothing is deleted. Boards over the Free limits become read-only (you choose which 3 stay editable), and everyone you already shared with keeps access. You can't share with new people until you're within the Free limits again.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service;
- circumvent plan limits, paywalls, or account restrictions;
- use board sharing to send spam or unsolicited messages;
- upload photos or content you don't have the rights to share.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse other users, or misuse the Service.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Airbok is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, prices or links that are out of date, or purchases you make from third parties. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid Airbok in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Genie after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law (Hong Kong SAR)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong SAR"), where Airbok Company Limited is established and registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of habitual residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where applicable. If you are located in the United States, you and Airbok agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, and each party waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by applicable state law.
