Terms of Use

1. What Omeu is

Omeu is a Pomodoro focus timer with an optional private messaging area. Messages, photos, videos, and voice notes exchanged in the messaging area are end-to-end encrypted: they are encrypted on your device before they are sent and can only be decrypted on your contact's device. Airbok cannot read them.

2. Accounts

• The timer works without an account. The messaging area requires an account, created with your email address and a one-time code. No password is stored.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your device, your app PIN, and your email account secure. Anyone who can unlock your phone and knows your PIN can read your messages.

3. Encryption keys and loss of data

• Your encryption keys are created on your device and never leave it. Airbok does not hold a copy and cannot recover them.
• If you delete the App, reset your phone, or move to a new phone, new keys are created. Existing rooms are closed on both sides and your contacts must invite you again. Previous messages cannot be restored.
• Messages are designed to disappear. Depending on the settings chosen by the sender, a message is deleted after it has been viewed or after a set time if it has not been viewed. Deleted messages are not recoverable.

4. Subscriptions

• Hosting a room requires a paid plan. Plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play, in monthly or yearly terms, for 1, 3, or 10 hosted rooms. A separate monthly plan unlocks unlimited Pomodoro sessions without messaging.
• The person who creates a room pays for it. The invited person can chat in that room and use the timer without a plan of their own. If the host's plan ends or no longer covers the room, the room is paused until the host upgrades or the other member moves the room onto their own plan.
• Rooms beyond your plan's limit are paused; the oldest rooms remain active first.
• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices are shown in the currency of your store account and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• The first Pomodoro session is free. We may change the number of free sessions, prices, and plan limits for new purchases with notice in the App.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Omeu to:

• harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, or send content that is illegal where you or the recipient live;
• share content that infringes someone else's rights, including intimate images shared without consent;
• send spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial messages;
• attempt to break the App's encryption, access another person's account, or interfere with the service.

Each contact can block you at any time and can report a conversation to us. Because messages are encrypted, a report can only contain what the reporting person chooses to include from their own device. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You own what you send. Airbok does not claim any rights to your messages and cannot access their content. You grant Airbok only the technical permission needed to transmit and temporarily store encrypted data so that it can be delivered.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Omeu available, but it is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the messaging area, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the App where reasonably possible.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Airbok is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of messages or keys, or for content sent by other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the App's settings. This removes your account, your rooms, and any encrypted data still waiting to be delivered. We may terminate your access if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing law (Hong Kong SAR)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong SAR"), where Airbok Company Limited is established and registered, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy under the laws of your country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

12. App store terms

If you downloaded Omeu from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
