Agreement
By creating a Stepper account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. We may update these terms as Stepper changes; continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Who can use Stepper
You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate information when creating your account, including a real date of birth. One account per person — accounts are not transferable.
Your content
You keep ownership of anything you post — your profile photo, group messages, and profile details. By posting it, you give Stepper the license needed to store, display, and transmit it as part of running the app (for example, showing your chat messages to other members of your group). Don't post anything illegal, abusive, or that you don't have the right to share.
Fair use of leaderboards and records
Stepper's leaderboards, streaks, and Wall of Fame records are meant to reflect real activity. Manipulating step counts, using bots or scripts, or exploiting the app to falsely inflate your numbers is not allowed and may result in your scores being hidden and your account suspended or removed — see our Fair usage policy in the app for details.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content
Stepper has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior of any kind, anywhere in the app, including group chat: hate speech, harassment, threats, bullying, impersonation, sexual content, and sharing others' private information without consent are all strictly prohibited.
You can report any user, group, or message directly from within the app. Reports are reviewed by a real person, not just auto-actioned, and we act on them promptly — this can mean removing the content, and it can mean suspending or permanently terminating the account responsible, with no warning required for severe violations.
Health data disclaimer
Stepper reads step and distance data from Apple Health to power your stats and leaderboards. Stepper is not a medical device and doesn't provide medical advice — talk to a healthcare professional for anything related to your health or fitness.
Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, our Fair usage policy, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or abusively. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings.
Service availability
Stepper is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee the app will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted, and features may change or be discontinued over time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Stepper and its developers aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
