Terms & Conditions

Speeky · last updated 12 October 2026

Welcome to Speeky. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Airbok Company Limited ("Airbok," "we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the Speeky mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Speeky, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Speeky

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Speeky account. If you open a channel for a group (for example as a tour guide, teacher, or event organiser), you're responsible for how you use the leader tools with that group, and for keeping your own sign-in details secure.

Geographic availability

Speeky is available in all countries and regions except Mainland China. Hong Kong SAR, Macao, and Taiwan are included. By creating an account, you confirm that you are not accessing the Service from Mainland China.

We do not offer, market, or knowingly make the Service available to anyone located in Mainland China. If you access the Service from Mainland China, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk, you are solely responsible for compliance with local law, and we make no representation that the Service is appropriate, legal, or available for use there. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access from Mainland China at any time without notice.

2. Your account

  • Everyone who uses Speeky needs an account. You may sign up with Apple, Google, or an email address and password confirmed with a 6-digit code. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • If you don't confirm your email address before your code expires (15 minutes), the unconfirmed account is deleted automatically and you can sign up again.
  • You may turn on Face ID or fingerprint sign-in. This uses your phone's own security and keeps your sign-in details in your phone's keychain.
  • You may delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Channels, leaders, and members

A channel is a group you open or join with a QR code or a channel code. The person who opens a channel is its leader; everyone else is a member. On a channel, the people with you can hear your voice when you talk, read the messages you send, and see your name, and, when you turn sharing on, your location and distance.

  • Leaders can let people in, remove people, mute everyone or one person, set stray alerts, drop a regroup pin, and end the channel for everyone. Use these tools fairly and only for the group you're leading.
  • Only share a channel code with people you want on the channel. Anyone with the code and the app can ask to join.
  • Location sharing is always your choice and can be turned off at any time. Don't pressure anyone into sharing their location.

4. What you say and send

You're responsible for your voice messages, text messages, channel names, and display name ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant Airbok a limited license to transmit it to the people on your channel, solely to operate the Service. Speeky does not keep recordings of your voice on our servers. Messages are kept on the phones on the channel and are deleted after 24 hours.

Don't use Speeky to send anything that:

  • is illegal, harassing, threatening, hateful, or sexually explicit;
  • infringes someone else's rights (copyright, privacy, etc.);
  • contains malware or attempts to disrupt the Service or other people's phones;
  • impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone.

Don't record other people's voices or track their location without their permission and in line with the law where you are.

5. Add-ons & payments

Speeky is free to download and use. A free channel holds the leader plus 2 people. Optional add-ons are sold in the app: Seats subscriptions (monthly or yearly) and Seat passes (7, 14, 30, 90, or 180 days) that let a leader's channel hold more people; extra permanent channels; and themes. Joining a channel is always free; only the leader's add-ons decide how many people a channel holds.

  • All purchases are billed through the Apple App Store to your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change with notice.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel or change them in your Apple ID's subscription settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep the add-on until the period ends.
  • Passes don't renew. They end on their own after the number of days you bought.
  • Themes are one-time purchases and stay yours. Restore purchases brings them back on a new phone.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Airbok cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through the App Store.

6. Not a safety or emergency device

Speeky helps groups stay in touch, but it is not an emergency, safety-critical, or life-saving communication system. Phone-to-phone range depends on distance, walls, terrain, crowds, and your phones; the internet fallback depends on mobile signal; and locations, distances, the radar, and stray alerts can be inaccurate or delayed. Batteries run out. Always have another way to reach emergency services, and never rely on Speeky alone to keep anyone safe.

Stay aware of your surroundings. Don't use Speeky in a way that distracts you while driving, cycling, or doing anything that needs your full attention.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse-engineer, tamper with, scrape, or resell the Service;
  • get around channel size limits, add-on checks, or account restrictions;
  • use the Service to spam, stalk, or harass anyone;
  • join channels you weren't invited to, or keep rejoining after a leader removed you.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse other users, or misuse the Service.

8. Apple App Store

If you downloaded Speeky from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and Airbok, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the Service. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the Service must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Airbok is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including lost or delayed voice or text messages, inaccurate locations or alerts, loss of connection, or anything other people say or send on a channel. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Speeky add-ons in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Speeky after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law (Hong Kong SAR)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong SAR"), where Airbok Company Limited is established and registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory protections under the law of your country of habitual residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where applicable. If you are located in the United States, you and Airbok agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, and each party waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by applicable state law.

12. Contact
